Day 1 – Anchorage/Nome
Fly north from Anchorage (approx. 539 air miles northwest) to the quaint and remote community of Nome. With no trees for miles, you’ll see some of Alaska’s most scenic, pristine landscapes of rolling tundra and wide, sandy beaches. This region is also site of the last great gold rush stampede, which has brought the area worldwide fame and attention. Overnight in Nome.
Day 2 – Nome
Learn more about the town, its people, and wildlife on a guided tour. Today, Nome is a quaint community with a population just under 4,000, where a mixture of Inupiat Eskimos and non- Natives reside. Overnight again in Nome.
Day 3 – Nome/Anchorage
Return to Anchorage by air. End of Tour.
