Our mission: creating the ultimate Alaska vacation for each unique client
Alaska Travel Connections creates customized Alaska vacations for independent travelers, couples, families & small groups.
From our base in Wasilla, Alaska, we develop and maintain relationships with lodges, bed and breakfasts, attractions, the Alaska Railroad, rental car agencies, air and boat charters, adventure outfitters and guides, and myriad other suppliers throughout the state.
We travel to the places and go on the excursions so we can ensure that every element on every ATC itinerary is top-quality.
We think outside the box and perfectly tailor excursions, style of accommodations and route for every client. Whether you want to check every Alaska adventure off your bucket list or simply sit back and enjoy nature.
Prefer a private experience? Travel in style with ATC’s exclusive touring Sprinter van. Our knowledgeable, local guides cater to small groups or families who want to get away from the crowds. We offer English, German & Swedish speaking services for up to 15 guests.
All of our trips are custom-designed. Our portfolio includes specialty itinerary arrangements for hikers, birders, photography enthusiasts, multi-generational families, and many more.
Your Dreams + Our Expertise = Ultimate Alaska Vacation
WHAT OUR CLIENTS CHOOSE
INSIDER TIP: Incorporate at least one leg of rail travel on a self-drive. Alaska's rail belt is unlike anywhere in the world!
INSIDER TIP: Most guests grab a rental car in Anchorage. Don't forget you can start a self-drive in Fairbanks heading south, too!
INSIDER TIP: Save money sans cabin. AMH recliner lounges also serve as sleeping areas & upper decks are also popular for tents.
INSIDER TIP: Consider staying inside Denali Park (Kantishna). All inclusive backcountry lodges may equal out to food, transfers & activities at the Park Entrance.
Cruises & Ferry
Isabelle Bornemann, Founder
Originally from Germany, “Isi” came to Alaska in 1985, when her father promised a trip to Hawaii if she would visit him in Anchorage where he was working as a geologist at the time.
It turns out that single, life-altering visit changed her path forever. In 1994 she packed her bags, said goodbye to Europe and made Alaska her new home.
Speaking German and Swedish quickly landed Isabelle a job in Alaska’s tourism industry. Over the next 20 years, she traveled extensively, began guiding trips and started her own business of planning personalized itineraries to the far-flung corners of Alaska.
